Dr. Jeffrey Hunt will be one of the first medical aesthetics practitioners in the United States to offer
Vanquish: a fat reduction technique that removes fat without physical contact.Tampa, FL –
Dr. Jeffrey Hunt and his team of Tampa skin care professionals offer their patients expertise in vein treatments
and non-surgical cosmetic treatments. The Vein & Cosmetic Center of Tampa Bay’s latest acquisition is a system
called Vanquish: one of the newest methods of non-surgical fat reduction available in the United States.Dr. Hunt’s
practice is one of the first 20 in the U.S. to receive the Vanquish device, and they will be the first practice to
offer the procedure in Tampa. After first hearing about Vanquish nearly a year ago in discussions with Vanquish
manufacturer BTL Aesthetics, Dr. Hunt says he is pleased to be part of the first group of cosmetic enhancement
professionals in the nation to use the new fat reduction system. “We have been on the cutting edge of many new
technologies and have been instrumental in improving treatment protocols,” says Dr. Hunt. In a recent blog post on
his practice’s website, Dr. Hunt goes into more detail regarding Vanquish’s fat-reducing capabilities. The Vanquish system, recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
was originally developed in the Czech Republic and is able to target fat cells utilizing selective radio-frequency
(RF) electromagnetic energy. According to Dr. Hunt, Vanquish can “reduce pockets of fat in patients’ entire
abdomen area, including the flanks (love handles), in just one treatment” without ever making physical contact
with the patient’s body. Instead, “the thermal energy delivered by the device is absorbed by the body,” causing
the targeted fat cells to be destroyed and then removed from the body through its natural processes.Vanquish is
able to cover a much larger treatment area compared to other non-surgical fat reduction techniques. Dr. Hunt says
it is designed to be safe, well-tolerated, and to have zero downtime. The Vanquish system produces a sensation
similar to a heating pad and never touches the patient’s skin. Typically with four 30-minute sessions spread over
the course of one month, patients can lose one dress or pant size the following month—though Dr. Hunt says the
initial results of the procedure can usually be seen after the first or second session. According to Dr. Hunt, BTL
Aesthetics is currently working on more treatment heads for the Vanquish system to optimize results on other body
areas of concern such as the thighs and arms.Though Dr. Hunt is consistently looking toward the next innovation in
the field and is proud to be one of the first practitioners in the country to offer Vanquish treatments, he says
that one of his practice’s biggest advantages is having multiple technology platforms available for fat reduction.
With a wider array of techniques at hand, Dr. Hunt says he is able to achieve optimal customized results for many
of his fat reduction patients.About Jeffrey A. Hunt, DO, RVSDr.
