ResurFX® (Erbium 1565) Laser Skin Resurfacing
ResurFX® (Erbium 1565) laser skin resurfacing is relatively noninvasive compared to many other types of laser skin enhancement. The ResurFX® laser’s unique design allows Jeffrey A. Hunt D.O., R.V.S., R.V.P.I. to treat microscopically small treatment zones surrounded by untreated areas for very rapid healing and dramatic results. Early signs of aging – such as wrinkles, discolorations, and acne scars – can be corrected with ResurFX® laser skin resurfacing. As the treated area begins to heal, a layer of new skin appears, restoring a fresh, youthful complexion. The ResurFX® laser treatment also encourages collagen production, filling fine lines and wrinkles while creating a healthier, more vibrant appearance. Optimal results are achieved with four treatments about two weeks apart.
*Recovery from ResurFX® (Erbium 1565) Laser Treatment
After ResurFX laser skin resurfacing, patients generally have minimal down time with redness and swelling, and patients can return to their normal activities the day after the procedure. Due to the precise nature of ResurFX® treatments, recovery time is short and relatively comfortable. Redness, swelling, and minor irritation similar to mild sunburn may develop, but these effects typically subside in just a few days. Sun exposure before and after treatment should be avoided and SPF 50+ should be worn daily.
Advantages of ResurFX® (Erbium 1565) Laser Skin Resurfacing
The biggest advantage of ResurFX® laser skin resurfacing over other facial rejuvenation options is the quick, comfortable recovery time. Chemical peels, which use mild acids to diminish aesthetic flaws, involve the removal of skin. In contrast, no skin is removed during ResurFX skin resurfacing. Instead, the laser energy passes through the epidermis, leaving surrounding skin unaffected. This makes recovery much shorter and more comfortable than after a chemical or previous-generation resurfacing lasers. Also, chemical peels only affect the top layer of skin and not the pathology of wrinkles, acne scars and melisma that lasers can target. Treatment of Stretch Marks
Medical Director Jeffrey A. Hunt D.O., R.V.S., R.V.P.I. and Nurse Practitioner Kristen Thornley have effectively reduced the appearance of stretch marks and scar revision for many women using both our Pixel RF and ResurFX Laser. Pixel RF uses Micro Plasma Technology to both ablate and heat the skin through controlled, focused delivery of energy. The thermal injury prompts the formation of collagen which tightens the skin. The collagen produced from thermal injury creates an improvement in the skin’s overall appearance. Pixel RF does not see color and is safe for all skin types. ResurFX deeply penetrates the epidermis and dermis and places a half million laser spots that visibly reduce the appearance of stubborn stretch marks with multiple treatments usually performed every four to six weeks. ResurFX also builds collagen and helps the overall texture of the treated areas. ResurFX is a non-ablative laser, and it does not change skin color and is safe for darker skin tones unlike some traditional CO2 lasers. Schedule your free consultation today and begin to say goodbye to your stretch marks.
