One of the most common skin conditions, acne occurs when sebaceous glands become overactive and produce excess oil, causing follicles to become plugged. These plugged follicles can then become inflamed, causing pimples, nodules and cysts. Although acne is not harmful to health and will usually subside over time, it can have a long-term, negative effect on a person’s confidence and self-esteem. Our practice offers various methods of preventing and reducing acne, including topical treatments such as Obagi CLENZIderm M.D.™, lasers, photodynamic therapy, Blu-U®
Light, and chemical peels.

Age spots are brownish patches that appear on the skin as a person ages, resulting from either sun damage or genetics. Also known as liver spots, these patches resemble large freckles and usually appear on the face, neck, hands, feet, or legs. Although they are not harmful, many people wish to have them removed for cosmetic reasons. Dr. Jeffrey A. Hunt can safely eliminate these marks using Photofacial™, Fraxel®, or Pixel®resurfacing treatments.
