Medial Thigh Lift
Skin and elasticity of the thighs can become lax as we age and the effects of gravity take hold. This can often happen after weight loss as well, resulting in a collection of fat and a sagging appearance to the skin of the thighs. A thigh lift can address this with effective results, removing excess skin and fat and giving the thighs a tighter, more contoured appearance. Dr. G. Peter Fakhre with Vein & Cosmetic Center of Tampa Bay can help you attain your goals with a medial thigh lift surgery at our Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg, Florida-area practice.

Medial Thigh Lift Procedure
A medial thigh lift typically involves a combination of liposuction and the removal of excess skin. Dr. Fakhre will eliminate extra fat deposits in the thighs, then remove the extra skin causing a sagging appearance. He will then tighten the remaining skin for a smoother, more contoured appearance. Any scarring from the procedure should be relatively light and easily hidden under clothing. The entire procedure typically takes about four hours to complete on an outpatient basis.

Medial Thigh Lift Recovery
Some swelling and a “tight” feeling in the thighs can be expected after thigh lift surgery. Heavy lifting and activities that require prolonged periods of standing or walking should be avoided for three to six weeks; however, Dr. Fakhre will likely advise that you take short walks in the days following surgery to keep the circulation flowing. Most patients working jobs that do not require a large degree of physical strain can return to work after about a week.
Dr. Fakhre will explain all aspects of thigh lift surgery to you at your initial consultation. He encourages you to ask any questions you may have, and he will be happy to address your concerns.
