Vi Peel
The Vi Peel, available at our Tampa Bay, Florida-area skin care practice, is one of the most innovative chemical and facial peels on the market. This powerful skin rejuvenation treatment is not only effective, but also safe for all skin types and requires little to no downtime. Best of all, the procedure itself is known to be virtually pain-free!
The Vi Peel is designed to:

Treatment times typically take 20 to 30 minutes to complete. The procedure is effective with issues of hyperpigmentation, and can be used on other skin areas besides the face and neck.

Many past chemical peel treatments could often feel more painful the deeper the peel went into the skin, and also may have required many treatments for the best results. With the Vi Peel, significant skin improvement is apparent within days after just one treatment, and the procedure is quick and typically painless. Recovery from Vi Peel
One of the chief benefits of the Vi Peel is that it requires virtually no downtime. Normal activities can usually be resumed right after treatment. Patients can expect the skin to start peeling about three days after the procedure. In some cases, peeling is completed by the end of the fourth day. The peeling itself is fluffy and light, and sometimes virtually invisible. The skin can be moisturized during the recovery period to mask the signs of peeling. Chemical Peels
Available at our Tampa, Florida office, customized chemical peels are designed to help patients achieve smoother, radiant skin. Offering nearly immediate results, this popular outpatient procedure can help to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles, fine lines, acne scarring, and uneven pigmentation. Generally, the best candidates for chemical peels are patients with fair skin. However, patients with other skin pigmentation and hair colors can also achieve good results.
The aesthetician at our practice can perform a variety of chemical peels. After an evaluation we will determine which formula is right for the patient’s skin and will achieve the desired result. For example, certain chemical peels are particularly useful for treating acne blemishes while others are more useful for reducing deeper fine lines and wrinkles. Recovery from Chemical Peels
Chemical peels remove the outer layers of damaged skin to reveal a fresh new layer. After a patient undergoes a skin peel, the treated layers of skin will gradually flake away. The recovery time after a chemical peel varies depending on which type of peel is used. Generally, light or mild chemical peels require no recovery time. Medium chemical peels require three to seven days of recovery.

Microdermabrasion
Non-invasive and non-chemical, microdermabrasion removes the outermost layer of dry, dead skin to reveal a younger, healthier-looking complexion. By carefully spraying the skin with a focused stream of exfoliating microcrystals, microdermabrasion improves the skin’s appearance and encourages the production of new skin cells. Microdermabrasion is a quick treatment that can be performed during a lunch hour with little or no discomfort.
