Well Kristen Walsh is a good friend of mine and she was telling me about some of the procedures that she does here. I am very skeptical of any type of alterations, but I thought I would come and give it a try and that was about maybe two years ago and I fell in love with this place. I have lived in New York. I have lived in Los Angeles. I went to many other different or similar type places. It was always very uncomfortable, you were not quite sure, but very laid back attitude. They are very professional, experts at what they do, and I am coming back Monday morning as a matter of fact to get a couple of little extra things done. With Dr. Hunt, he took the lines here which is what I am having done again on Monday about 18 months ago to get rid of some of the lines. I am 50 years old and fighting it every step of the way because I do not feel 50 so I do not want to look 50, and very simple procedure, not painful at all. I got a little bit of numbing, some injections here and I massaged it a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks and that was it. It was really not a big deal and people would tell me, “You look great! You know, “Did you go on vacation?” – my little secret.
For 16 years we have had innovative varicose vein treatments by using ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. For years, we started turning the liquid into a microfilm solution, which works better yet puts less solution into your system. We do this with a three-person approach; ultrasound tech, nurse and myself, the physician. Typical treatment involves three or four microinjections under ultrasound guidance that only takes four minutes. We put support stocking on the patient and they can go exercise right after the procedure. This is in contrast to previous older generation surgical stripping procedures where people have lengthy recoveries. The other procedure we do for varicose veins is called endolaser. With this it is about a one-hour procedure. There is a tiny laser fiber that goes up through the inside of the vein and then underneath tumescent anesthesia and ultrasound guidance. The vessel is coagulated and disappears. With this again they wear support hose for two days and they can exercise that evening. So all of our varicose vein procedures are very complete compared to previous generation surgical procedures with very minimal discomfort and no downtime whatsoever.
Acoustic Wave™ therapy is a newest device designed to treat cellulite. Cellulites are wide spread problem and you can very thin and still have significant cellulite. Acoustic Wave™ therapy is usually done twice a week for three weeks. It is a 20-minute session. There is not any discomfort or pain with the procedure and we tell people to expect an average result of being greater than 50 percent reduction in visible cellulite with this brief course of treatment
I originally came because a friend of mine referred me here that she had some Botox done and I thought it looked great So I said, “well, I want to try it”. So I originally came for Botox® and I had the Botox® done around my eyes and my forehead and then my mother and my sisters they all said, “oh my god, your face looks so great”, you know so they came and they had it done. And then I came back and had some Fraxel® laser done with fine lines and little dark spots, you know, and then I had Silikon put in my lips. I had just a little line of lip that was it and I had the Silikon in and it was, Aah! It was great. I felt so good about myself, my confidence level went way up and the experience here was enjoyable because they made me very relaxed and you know just took their time with me very friendly. I would recommend them to anybody on anything and I mean I keep coming back, you know, I am in here today I just want more Botox® today.
Dr. Hunt made me feel relaxed. He tended to be more on the conservative side, some of the procedures I have had done have been Botox®. I have had some fillers, just a little bit on the top of the lip and then round the mouth and what made me very comfortable Dr. Hunt did the Botox®, Kristen did the fillers is that they both lean more towards being somewhat conservative which I like, and then you know, the end result being that it looks natural – that you are having a natural professional look. I am in sales, I also teach fitness. One of the things about fitness is there is lot of expression when you are teaching and so this is softened. I feel softened my look, and with sales it keeps me competitive and on the edge in the industry when most of the representatives are in the 25 to 35 range, I feel like it keeps me in the game.
We use the Cooltouch™ Endolaser for numerous advantages of the system. We feel it is the perfect wavelength in order to eliminate the large varicose veins. The procedure is done with a bare fiber technique so that we do not do cut downs. Everything is placed, a little tiny needle after the skin is numbed which makes it a very pain free type of procedure and it is very effective for getting rid of large varicose veins.
Abnormal skin pigmentation, freckles or dyschromias or melasma or pregnancy. All these type of conditions can be attacked through a host of different procedures. We either can use prescription skin care products that will gradually over months make most of the pigmentation disappear or we can use Intense Pulsed Light, which blankets the face and breaks up the pigments so that it gets naturally absorbed and no longer appears or we can use the new fractional resurfacing lasers to go over the pigmentation. This also is FDA cleared clinical treatments that are good for melasma, pregnancy and other type of pigmentary dyschromias.
We offer a variety of different types of skin care. We do everything from your basic facial to do a complex chemical peels. We offer physician grade microdermabrasion and we have physician grade skin care products, Obagi being our top seller in our top line. We have a lot of patients that come in that want noninvasive treatments and a good treatment for that would be our physician grade microdermabrasion. You can achieve different levels with it as far as you know pertaining to what is going on with the patient’s skin. It is a good exfoliation and it helps with people that have acne scarring and fine lines and it is really good for just overall rejuvenation. A lot of people do not take care of their skin and they are exposed to sun and all the elements that we have here and when patients come in they want to achieve the perfect skin and we can put them on you know the regiments at home as far as our physician’s grade skin care or do an in office treatment from doing basic facial, all the way up to our chemical peels that we offer.
IPL® is Intense Pulsed Light referred to as photofacials or photoderm that is in the family of lasers but it is all light therapy. It is treatment of choice for rosacea. It is ideal for facial veins and facial telangiectasias. It is also good for lots of skin problems like sunspots and age spots as well as melasma. It does boost collagen for three months and shrinks pores. There is no downtime. You look lightly pink. Most patients need between three and five treatments and you do them every three weeks.
Fraxel® is a fractionalized erbium laser that goes as deep as CO2 laser but it is nonablative, which means it bypasses your epidermis, your outer layer of skin and goes deep dermis and remodels from the inside out. Basically what it is doing is putting half a million laser spots on the face. It treats sun spots, age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles and boosts collagen, even remodels acne scars. With minimal downtime, people look lightly red like a sunburn for about three days. You will have a little bit of swelling around the eyes mainly but otherwise normal routine. We always tell everybody to treat your face like a sunburn for a few days, lots of moisturizer, lots of sunblock and you can treat every two weeks. Since Fraxel is a fractionalized erbium laser, it is only remodeling your deep dermis 20% at a time, hence a fractionalized laser, so it does take four treatments to remodel 100% of the deep dermis.
